A Christmas Question

Am I the only one having trouble waiting to "Christmas-ize" my blog this year? I keep telling myself to wait until the day after Thanksgiving, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to last that long.
I am also fighting the urge to decorate the house for Christmas. BEFORE Thanksgiving. Do you think it's because I finally have a real house to decorate and I can get ALL of my Christmas stuff out?

  1. The Christmas spirit must be strong this year. I'm pretty fastidious about putting Christmas off until after Thanksgiving, but for some reason, I'm actually considering breaking out the music and some decorations on the Monday before Thanksgiving this year. What's going on?!

  3. I haven't decorated yet, either. Well, there is a wreath on my door, but that's only b/c it's real, and it was shipped from my MIL. I'm debating even doing the decorating...we're gone for Thanksgiving, and we leave the day after C'mas for a vacation. So, who knows if I'll put the tree up or not...can't decide. :(

  4. I don't what it is, but I'm ready to decorate my house, too. I never get the urge until after Thanksgiving, but this year...

  5. Absolutely, it's because you have a new, real house. That's natural.

But I think those who put up their decorations the earliest are the first to take them down. Which makes me sad, since the Christmas season is supposed to extend (at least) until the Epiphany (January 6.)

I, myself, am tempted because of Alan - so as to teach him about Santa, etc.
