S'FMtY: Tacky Day

I have posted before about how much I loved Spirit Week when I was in school. Here is an oldie but a goodie from Spirit Week when I was in 5th grade:

Don't you just love it? I'm sad to say that with the exception of the striped tank top (my mom's), all of the clothes pictured are ones that I wore regularly, although not together. What was I thinking when I begged my mom for those leggings? And the short - they had a matching shirt. Oh, and look - I'm wear ankle-high slouch boots. From the 80's, no less. These were hand-me-downs that I wore all the time. I thought I was so cool to have those boots. Obviously the concept of styles going in and out of fashion hadn't been explained to me yet. 1. Now that is quite the outfit. My niece dresses like that all the time - but then again she is five. :)

  2. I loved my slouch boots. I miss my slouch boots. Do you still have yours? What size are they? And can I buy them? I may look ridiculous, but at least I'll feel nostalgic.

  5. I remember those boots. My parents did agree to buy me a pair, but with my high arches I couldn't wear them. Flat couldn't get my foot in them. But I dreamed of looking good in them.

  8. That's great, Heather.

I used to love spirit week. My friends and I used to dress up for it. I got my pic in the yearbook once. It was Mourning Day and I was wearing a black suit.
