WfMW: Dream Book

If you're like me, you're always thinking of ways to improve your current house, or your dream house. I love to look through home design magazines for ideas about the next house. Since our current house is small, I don't have room to keep all of the magazines. My solution was to create a binder to store all of what I liked, and to simply recycle the rest! I used plain paper in the binder and I just tape the picture into place, sometimes with a brief description:

To help the binder stay organized, I have the pictures sorted according to room. I also store holiday decorating ideas and craft project ideas.

The binder takes up a lot less space than a stack of magazines, and I don't have to wonder which issue the idea was in! Works for Me! Be sure to check out Rocks in my Dryer for more!

This is post #199, people! Up next is the BIG GIVEAWAY!

  3. That is a great Ideal. I use a binder with plastic sleeves so it protects thing like my tax records. receipts. I use it to plan the rebuild of this house. But I like the ideal to use it for fun and dreams.
    Thanks.

  4. I have one of these binders too and I love it, and my 16yo daughter has her own version also. It's a great idea and can become something special to share and pass on.

  5. I love this idea! I've thought of doing something similar but wasn't really sure how to organize it. I think I'll use your model and start one soon. I actually have plenty of room to store magazine but hate the clutter they create. Thanks for the awesome idea!!

  7. I used to do this for creative design/project ideas and then I stopped. Although yours is way more organized.

I think I'm going dust off my binder and give it another go!

    Thank you-

And thanks for stopping by today :)

  8. That's a good idea. I have a million pages torn out of magazines waiting to be organized in some fashion like this. Now I just have to sit down and do it!!

  9. I love this idea! Deb at Homespun Living did a post about this, which she called "notebooking." She even covered her binders with pretty papers, and put fancy labels on them.

Your binder is so neat and organized! It makes me want to start one of my own.
